Jaxon is the bad boy that rivals all others, this sexy Kicker for the Carolina Cougars just doesn't know when enough is enough. We have seen him try to steal his teammates girlfriend in Catching Summer by arranging for the ex-girlfriend of the player to be found in his bed by the current girlfriend (that Jax wanted for himself) and had a used condom on the floor to look like they had sex...seriously who does stuff like that?? Jaxon that's who! So he's moved on and is trying to curb his outrageous behavior...like that's even possible...anyway, we saw that he can be a true friend to those he cares about like Hayden Hunter who we met in Defending Hayden along with her boyfriend and his teammate Derek. Now this is Jax's story and I had no clue what to expect.

When Jaxon met Bristol he knew there was something about her he wanted, so he sets out to hook-up with her because that's his MO, just hooking up and moving on, then when he finds out that she's the sister of the new quarterback on the team that he doesn't like he thinks that this would be a perfect way to get back at him. Typical Jax, is he ever going to change?

There is a lot of angst in this story because hey, its Jax did you expect anything less? But besides all of the craziness going on with Jax and his crazy ass one night stand turned stalker, I really liked Jax and Bristol together, they were good for one another.

Each of the books in this series (Second Chances) can be read as standalone's but there is character overlapping so if you want the full immersion of the series so you know all the background of each of them start with the first book, otherwise feel free to jump on in with Jax and Bristol.
