BOOK BLURB

Deformed. Dangerous. Damned.
One night ripped my life away and left me a monster—the scarred gargoyle of a man who lived in the stained-glass shadows of a crumbling cathedral, selling my soul in order to seek vengeance on those who destroyed my life.
Until one day, the chimes I heard weren’t from the bell tower of Notre Dame, but from the bejeweled gypsy invading my space. Though she swears her research is legitimate, her beauty shimmers with secrets. I can’t trust glittering eyes that aren’t repulsed by me, nor the tempting smile that is laden with lust. I can’t trust her.
So, I’ll watch and wait… and ignore how her sharp wit and bewitching charm scorch the shackles of my restraint and enchant me into her fire.
I’ll uncover the truth before she gets too close. Before she sees the broken man beneath the scarred beast. And before I give into her temptation.
She’s a threat to everything I’ve worked for—a threat to my cathedral and a threat to my revenge.
And, most dangerous of all, a threat to my stone cold heart.

I loved Quinton & Esme's story!

I've been patiently waiting for Quinton's story for a while and oh my it was so with the wait. This is why I fell in love with Dr. Rebecca Sharp's books, her writing transports readers to a different place where we feel as if we are part of the story as we watch everything unfold.

I met Quinton in THE ODYSSEY DUET and knew that his backstory was going to be one for the books, no pun intended, and my goodness it so is! You know that you are made into the person you are through the events you've gone through as well as you're upbringing well in The Gargoyle and the Gypsy we see how true that statement can really be, and not only for Quinton but also for Esme.

Esme has a beautiful heart and it tore at me the way that she had been treated because of her heritage. "Do not punish the child for the father's sins" is something I was taught at a very young age but it seems that not everyone has learned that, which is sad and unfortunately very true. Esme's father didn't do anything so don't read into this but it's a general statement that the only person that should be held accountable for the sins that were done is the person doing them but that wasn't the case when it came to Esme.

Quinton and Esme have amazing chemistry and their passion is scorching. The story line is one that will keep you at the edge of your seat occasionally holding your breath in anticipation of what is going to happen next. The way it was written was done beautifully as well. I loved getting lost in Paris with Quinton and Esme.

THE GARGOYLE AND THE GYPSY covers darker themes. The author makes a point at the very beginning of pointing out that "Quinton and Esme's story features violence, sex, and sensitive topics of religion and terrorism" so be forewarned before you purchase this book that this is different from some of the other books she has written and if any of these subject bother or offend you please do not purchase this book. It hurts me to say that because I LOVED this story and I cannot wait for the next book, THE HEARTBREAK OF NOTRE DAME, but I do realize this subject matter isn't for everyone.

If you enjoy dark romances I would highly recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!
