This book should be tagged with a disclaimer of child abuse and domestic abuse, and I was totally surprised that it wasn't. I must admit when I started reading this before I was even finished with the prologue I was second guessing my decision to continue it, but I have only done that once in all of the years I have been reading so I pushed myself to continue. While this will not be a 5 star read or even a 4 star read for me I did start to get into it because of the way things progressed. But because of the way I felt in the beginning I honestly couldn't say that I really liked, but I did like it.

Jason "Cobra" Stanley was raised by an abusive father and a mother that turned a blind eye to what was happening. Unfortunately Jason learned to be quick with a punch so when his girlfriend Missy provoked him she would get slapped around...the part that really confused me is that she provoked him knowing what would happen almost as if she got off on it. I hate to even say that because it's not something I can wrap my head around but that is the way she came off. Anyway, Jason finally has enough of their twisted relationship and calls it off. Step one in the right direction!

In walks Lorraine...WOW, totally crazy past has her living a double life and not like an undercover agent double life, like she was two totally different people with the complete knowledge of what she was doing so it wasn't as if she suffered from some Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) nope she willing lead her life that way. Yes it did come out of a traumatic occurrence in her life, but once again her past leads me to tag this romance as DARK.

How can these two broken people make a relationship work? I have no clue but they do seem to balance one another out if that is even possible. I swear I finished this book a few days ago and I am still having a hard time coming to terms with some of it.

This was a fun, sweet, holiday romance. Drew and Nathan met when Nathan catered an event that Theo was hosting along with the other Baseball "wives" (partners) and it was an instant attraction that they each felt a stronger pull towards but with living so far apart neither feel that it would ever work out. Needless to say that Hudson, Linc, Eric, and Theo think they are absolutely wrong about that and they plan to get the two of them together to celebrate Christmas together.

I have to say that this was a great introduction to the author for me. I loved the way everyone got along, there was no big drama, and there was a HFN ending with it looking like there would be a HEA in their future. I just added Catching the Pitch (Eric & Theo's story) and The Imperfect Game (Linc & Hudson's story) to my TBR shelf after getting to know each of the couples in this story I want to go back and see how they each got their HFN/HEA's.

This story had Yummy Goodness written all over it. Friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and what better time for two friends to get together than over the holidays. Such fun!



Sawyer and Hollis have been friends for many years, they actually grew up together and watched Hollis' sister and Sawyer's brother fall in love, get married, and start a family of their own..but for some reason Hollis steered clear of Sawyer even though he had feelings for him. But that time has come and gone and Sawyer was going to make sure of it.

Christmastime has been rough for Hollis since his parents death a few years earlier, but Sawyer is determined to get him out of the depression he always falls into as the holidays near.


And what better way to do it than with a little wager, if Sawyer wins the towns most favorite Shop window Hollis has to go on an actual date with him.



Wrapped Together had me pulled in right from the beginning, I love the way Annabeth Albert pulls at your heartstrings at the same time she's making you laugh out loud. Sawyer and Hollis' story was one of sheer beauty and it definitely had my emotions all over the place. It wonderful way to start the holidays, curled up in front of the fireplace reading Wrapped Together on my kindle while sipping at hot coco...perfect!
