I've always heard — and I'm sure you have as well — that things happen for a reason. Well, this story brings that saying to reality in so many ways.
Padraig & Stevie met when they were young children, around seven when her family moved right next door to his. They became the best of friends even though it was them and Liam that hung out all the time. It was really nice to see their friendship evolve through the years.
Kaylene takes readers on a journey of friendship, love, hardache, and secondchances. I love the way Kaylene gives you the couples backstory, in a way that you feel as if you were right there with them playing in the backyard or hanging out while Liam and Padraig were jamming with their band, growing up right along side of them. I will say that not everything was coming up roses, there were a few difficult things going on as well, I highly recommend reading the CW/TW (Sesitivity Statement) at the begining of the book.
This story as it progresses through the years also sets up the next book, Hushed Harmony, which is Liam's book. After seeing everything that he went through in this book with his twin, Padraig, I cannot wait to read his story.
