I have the gorgeous Kickstarter edition of this series, which I will not read because they are too beautiful to risk damaging. Still, I know not everyone got them, so it's nice to see the authors releasing the ebooks so you can enjoy them now. And believe me, if you like spicy reads, you don't want to miss them, especially this one. Shattered Innocence by Sara Cate is a Cinderella retelling where Birdie (Cinderella) finds love with not only her Prince Charming, Alaric Stone, but also her stepsister, Violet. Didn't see that one coming, did ya, lol.

I don't want to give anything away; I'll say that I was grateful to have a LONG drive where I could activate my Kindle's Assistive Reader and allow the book to be read to me while I was driving because I didn't want to stop reading once I started. Still, I had to get on the road for a few hours, and thankfully, I could listen to it all. It was so good! From the family dynamics to the Black Rose Auction, everything had me invested in what would happen next.
