Have you ever had the love of your life slip away only to regret the mistakes you've made? Well, Maverick did about eight years ago when his wife Holly filed for divorce and he's been kicking himself for it ever since. Holly and Maverick have a once in a lifetime kind of love, it doesn't matter that she remarried and had a kid with him, he still loves her like he did when they first fell in love and has every day since.
This story will definitely pull at your heartstrings so be prepared with tons of tissues. I really enjoyed the push and pull of Holly and Maverick's relationship, and I loved the way he would do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING for her and his kids...no questions asked.
There is a bit of more going on in this story then just their relationship mind you, it is a Motorcycle Club after all so you know things are always happening. What will have readers of the original Satan's Knights MC (New York Chapter) thrilled is that Parrish, Wolf, and a few others make an appearance in this first book of the North Carolina Chapter. I personally haven't read those books yet but you better believe they are on my Goodreads TBR shelf and a few are even on my Elfster wishlist.
