It’s release day for Desiring the Dancer by Lilly Avalon!

Title: Desiring the Dancer

Author: Lilly Avalon

Series: Risqué Novellas #1

Publication Date: August 31st 2020

Genre: Contemporary Romantic Erotica Novella

Carlie Coleman is not looking forward to her stepsister’s bachelorette party.

It was supposed to be a simple affair with a small group of Valerie’s closest friends at their parents’ beach house. Instead, the guests have tripled, there’s a fancy caterer, and at some point there will be strippers.

It’s going to be a disaster… until she meets the cute waiter.

Aiden Carter is sweet and she’s smitten. They can’t stop staring at each other from across the room. Their mutual attraction is undeniable. Before the night is over, she discovers something else.

The cute waiter is also the entertainment.

Excerpt from Desiring the Dancer:

I carefully walk around everyone as I pass through the kitchen, making sure I won’t bump into anyone. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for creating a mess. Valerie would likely hold it against me for years.

Unfortunately, my caution doesn’t extend to the hallway, as I nearly run into one of the waiters on his way to where I just left.

“Whoa!” He lifts the tray up out of the way, somehow keeping every glass on it level enough not to spill as I sidestep him.

Holding my chest, I say, “I am so sorry, sir. I should’ve been paying attention to where I was going.”

When I look up at him, I find myself staring into the brownish-green eyes of a tall, handsome man with short dark brown hair. My jaw drops, but I force myself to close it before he notices. When he smirks, I have a feeling that he did.

Well, damn.

“It’s okay,” he replies, voice smooth as silk. “Hazards of the job. I’ve learned how to handle it.”

“Clearly quite well,” I say, gesturing to his tray. “How did you do that?”

Lots of practice.”

Fun, Steamy read that can be read in just about an hour. I loved the Cinderella feel to it with Carlie being the stepsister to Bridezilla Valerie.

Valerie is getting married and it's Carlie's responsibility to help host the bachelorette party, she believes it being low-key but she was soooo wrong.

Aiden is a waiter at the party, he and Carlie hit it off they have a nice conversation at the beginning of the party and they keep eye contact throughout the night. Then the entertainment part of the evening begins and Carlie realizes that Aiden is not only a waiter but also one of the strippers.

This was a fun quick read that was steamy, it won't exactly melt your kindle but it was hot nevertheless. Lilly Avalon is a new-to-me author and since I enjoyed this novella so much I preordered the next two books in the series so it's a guarantee I will be reading her work again!

If you are looking for a quick steamy read I hope you give this one a chance.

Happy Reading!!!

Nadine Bookaholic: How long does it take for you to write a book?
Lilly Avalon:It varies from story to story. I wrote Desiring the Dancer during NaNoWriMo last year in November along with part of another novella. I'm generally a fairly slow writer unless I have a really good outline and a whole lot of inspiration. Writing sprints with other authors has helped me immensely with increasing my word counts, so I'm hoping I'll be able to write faster in the future.

Nadine Bookaholic: What is your work schedule like while you are writing a book?
Lilly Avalon: I'm lucky to be able to work from home right now, so I try to plan out blocks of time to write in between my other daily tasks. My goal is to write every day, even if it's only 10 minutes. I try to aim higher when I can, though. I can usually stay consistent as long as I remain focused and motivated.

Nadine Bookaholic: What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
Lilly Avalon: I loved delving into the idea of strippers and the way society views them. It was fun and felt good bringing up something a little serious, too.

Nadine Bookaholic: How many unpublished or half written books do you have?
Lilly Avalon: So many. I have several that have one or two chapters written in them, and two that have well over 10,000 words written, plus one that's mostly complete but I need to rewrite/rework some scenes. When I start a new story, I have to be 100% invested in it and know the majority of what's coming. My book Unexpected had about 10,000 words written in it, but I set it aside to write 3 other stories before I went back to it and completed it. Sometimes these ideas need time to figure out the plot and characters before you can finish them.

Nadine Bookaholic: To get to know you a little bit better... Do you have a pet or something that is special to you that you could share with us?
Lilly Avalon: I have a pet rat! I currently only have the one (lost his companion this summer), but I'm getting him a friend soon. His name is Sir Nigel Ratburn III AKA Smoosh. In the first month I had him he got sick and needed to stay at the vet overnight. Once he came home, I spent lots of time taking care of him and we developed a bond. He's my “heart rat” which is what rat mom's consider the one you've connected with the most. This is a picture of us when I made him my official coworker this spring.

About the Author

Lilly Avalon is the thirty-something author of the RESIST series and other romance books. She started to pen her first erotica at twelve years old, but her mom found the "dirty story" and threw it away, which was just as well because it wasn't that good. At all. Luckily, she continued to write stories for years until she rediscovered her love of sexy tales in her late twenties.

Lilly currently resides in Ohio with her husband and pet rodents. Lilly Avalon is a pen name.
