Uncaged (Chattanooga Supernaturals #4) by Candace Blevins (Review)

Uncaged
(Chattanooga Supernaturals #4)
by Candace Blevins

It’s been fourteen years since Keisha’s criminal actions put their son in foster care while Darnell was out of the country on a Navy SEAL mission. His attorneys handled all communication with her during the divorce proceedings, and he hasn’t spoken with her for nearly a decade and a half.

When she’s finally paroled, his wolf is insistent he makes sure she has a place to live and help getting on her feet.

Wolves mate for life, but the man can’t forgive her for putting their son at risk.

I Highly recommend this book to anyone that has read "Ghost" by Candace Blevins, in Ghost we meet Dare's father, Darnell, and there is mention of his mother, Keisha, "Uncaged" is their story.

Keisha has just been released from prison after serving fourteen years, the time there has hardened her and made her grow up quite a bit. To say that Keisha is a changed woman would be severely understating the transformation she has gone through.  When Darnell last saw Keisha it was right before he was deployed, at that time she was a spoiled princess, but when he returned stateside he found out that Keisha was in prison and his son was in the foster care system. While Darnell's wolf had mated for life with Keisha, Darnell the man was not so forgiving when it came to what she put their son through.

The wolf won out on keeping Keisha safe once she was released from prison, Darnell wasn't thrilled about it but did so to make sure that she was okay for Dare's sake as well as his wolves. I must admit that I am a sucker for a good second chance at love story and this one was excellent. You didn't have a wishy washy story on why they broke up, it was an undeniable fact that Darnell was extremely pissed at Keisha for putting their son in danger and then having him put into foster care because of her actions, and truly I would have felt the same way...mess with my kid and you'll be messing with me! I liked the fact that he didn't forgive her right away, it definitely took time and they had different obstacles to work/navigate through. As with all of Candace Blevins books, we are treated to some steamy sexy times between Darnell and Keisha with BDSM elements.

I really loved getting to know Ghost's parents better, and its always nice to see that older couples can get their HEAs too.
