I have always enjoyed it when Wells Silver popped up in previous books; he brought with him a lightheartedness, a flirty, carefree attitude, and his Playboy persona was always fun to watch. But I enjoyed seeing him in more recent books, when he met Victory Braden, that's when our resident Playboy of Silver Island started changing his Playboy ways.
If there is one person who will have you reaching for the tissues, it's Victory. After losing her husband five years ago, she has closed herself off to everyone and dove into work; it's her coping mechanism, and she was happy with the way things were until Wes pushed himself into her sphere. She pushed the Playboy away time and time again, but he wasn't shying away from what he knew they both wanted.
Melissa Foster begins The Silvers at Silver Island Series with a story about Finding Love after Loss while working through the grief with such a delicate touch that she doesn't erase the past; she makes room for the future. As with everything Melissa writes, I recommend a box of tissues and a tall glass of ice water.
