There’s a reason I hate the holidays, but nothing could’ve prepared me for the literal nightmare of flying three thousand miles in the middle of December.
When my coworker gets the flu, I reluctantly volunteer to take their assignment to write a piece on Vermont’s most famous Christmas small town.
After a delayed flight and driving through a blizzard in a minivan to a mountain cabin in the middle of nowhere, I find myself mixed up in a rental scam.
It’s bad enough the owner walks into my room naked and accuses me of breaking in, but then he tells me all the roads into town are closed. Even if I could leave, all the hotels are booked with tourists for the winter festival.
Even worse, his house is decorated like the North Pole.
Like I said, a nightmare.
The only perk about being snowed in with a lumberjack is that he’s accustomed to the cold and lets me steal his body heat in the middle of the night.
But then that turns into more, and even when I try to resist, I can’t help getting attached. It’ll never work out because we live on opposite sides of the country and have nothing in common.
Except, maybe we do…
My Greatest Joy was previously published as “The Joy of Us” by Kennedy Fox. It’s been re-edited and includes bonus content.
After meeting Levi White in FALLING FOR FINN, I couldn't wait for his story. I mean, seriously, will a guy who lives for Christmas and a woman who hates the holiday be perfect for one another? You have to read it to believe it because they work well together.
Fallon Joy is sent to Maplewood Falls, Vermont, to write a story for the magazine she works for. They want a piece on what makes the town an excellent place for the holidays, but it's the last place a Grinch would want to spend time. Especially when she walks into her vacation rental, which is completely decked out for the holidays, but it wasn't the rental she walked into.
Fallon and Levi's meet-cute was hysterical. After I stopped laughing, I wondered how I would react in the same situation. Levi is Christmas through and through; there is no way he couldn't melt the Grinch's heart. I enjoyed all of their fun times together, as well as their steamy ones. They know how to create heat when the power is out, that's for sure.
If you are looking for a book to get you in the holiday spirit, I believe this one will fit the bill. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy STEAMY Contemporary Romances, Small Town Romances, Snowed-In Romances, Holiday Romances, Forced Proximity Romances, Grumpy/Sunshine Romances, or Opposites-Attract Romances.
Happy Reading!!!
