I was HOOKED ON THEM from the beginning!

When I finished DRUNK ON YOU, I couldn't wait to get Ryder's book. Something drew me to him even though he was a secondary character in the prior book. I knew he needed his HEA soon, and not with the witchy woman; he was with either because she was a total biotch. This one was promised to be a single-dad and an age-gap romance, two of my favorite tropes, and Nikki Ash did not disappoint with Kira, who was much more than just a Nanny.

Kira is on the run with her daughter from her abusive husband, doing her best to stay off the radar out of fear of him finding her. She desperately needs a job and finds a perfect one with Kingston Limited as an onsite childcare provider, allowing her to bring her daughter to work with her until school begins.

Ryder is an overprotective, loving father to his young daughter. He has every reason to be overprotective of her since her mom walked out on them when she was just four months old, so when he meets Kira when dropping Addie off at daycare before he heads into a meeting, he's hesitant because he has never met the woman. This meet-cute was a bit more severe than it was funny because of his past, but it set the tone for their progression.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Not only was it STEAMY, but it also had so many Laugh-out-Loud moments because the two little girls are just a Hoot!

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy STEAMY Contemporary Romances, Billionaire Romances, Single-Parent Romances, Age Gap Romances, Boss/Nanny Romances, Small-Town Romances, or Romantic Suspense reads because some fishy things are happening.
