I will start this review by saying I am extremely glad that I had the second book in the duet on deck so I could jump into it as soon as I finished this one because it ended with a cliffhanger and if I had to wait a few months to get the next book I probably wouldn't have been a happy camper.
Grayson Cooperson Decker and Sanford Bancroft met Aerin Carlton when they were in grade school, and we get to follow their friendship throughout the years in flashbacks but be warned because we also see all the neglect and abuse that Aerin goes through at the hand of her mother who is living her dream of being a Prima Ballerina through her youngest daughter, as well as her sister who is extremely jealous of her.
There is a lot of mystery in this story and quite honestly you have no idea if the romance part of the story is going to feature the three of them or only the two men for most of the book. I really enjoyed getting to know Grayson and Sanford more through this book since they have been secondary characters in other books, I had at one point thought Sanford would be with Mika, but I was sooo wrong on that and I couldn't be happier about it either.
I listened to this in audiobook format and it was fabulous, the narrators Erin Mallon, Aaron Shedlock, Lee Samuels, and Samantha Brentmoor did a wonderful job with bringing Greyson, Sanford, Aerin, and her sister Enya to life. Each one of the authors played their part so well that I was glad that Samantha Brentmoor wasn't in the next book because it meant that the evil sister was gone...sorry Samantha, you did a fantastic job just didn't want her around anymore. LOL
