“Alana, you need to get out of there.”
He’s right. I know he is.
But it’s too late.
Something is at the end of the hallway. Something bad.
Something we need to see. And I’m not stopping until I know what it is.
A door slams closed somewhere close and my hand flies to my mouth to stop a scream from tearing free.
But not a second later, a scream rips through the air.
Only it’s not from my lips.
My hand trembles as I continue moving forward.
There’s another scream and more door slamming.
And when I’m almost at the curtain, I hear the unmistakable groan of a man.
I guess that explains what’s happening on the other side then.
Footsteps race toward me, and I panic.
Fantastic Ending to the Series!
I don't know where to start other than to say if you like Dark Why Choose Romance, you need to add this series to your TBR list and get to it quickly because it's so freakin' good. Now, let's get to the meat of things. I know there are many good series, but how many can you honestly say that each of the books was a FIVE-STAR READ? Well, each of the four books in this series was a FIVE-STAR READ for me, and that's saying something because very few series stand that test. Maybe a couple of books are a five-star read, but not this one. Each of the four books were OUTSTANDING!
Alana is one tough cookie, and this book shows her actual toughness. After all of the flashbacks from her childhood, we have gotten a clear picture of what she went through, but the events in this book solidify how tough she is. It's good that she doesn't have to choose if she wants to be Maverick's Doll, JD's Dove, or Reid's Pet, because this lucky lady gets to be all three. Honestly, I don't know if I'd be able to choose either because all three men are delicious in their own ways.
Tracy Lorraine didn't hold anything back with this series and I couldn't be happier to see how justice was meted out to those that caused harm to innocent children. This series must be read in the order it was released. The first three books end with epic cliffhangers, so I highly suggest you have the next book on hand to dive right in without waiting.
I recommend this book to readers that enjoy Dark Romances, Why Choose Romances, Organized Crime Romances, or Captive Romances.
