Have the tissues handy!
When you begin this book, make sure you do it in the privacy of your own home or somewhere people will not look at you funny for having tears streaming down your face because the prologue is heart-wrenching. But once you make it through, it's a fun ride with some ups and downs, and this hot dad will win your heart.
Sebastian hasn't had it easy for the past five years, but he has done his best to do everything he can to give his little girl, Nora, the best life she can have. She is the cutest little girl, too, she is wise beyond her years, and the things she says had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
Raven returns to town to open a Cafe & Bakery next to the Tattoo Parlor that Sebastian owns with his cousins and works at. Raven was best friends with Marley and Sebastian when they were younger, but since she went away to college, she distanced herself from them. We find out all kinds of things from when they were kids/teenagers with little flashback moments, which were nice to see and helped solidify the character development.
Nora is a hoot, and I see many similarities between her parent's friendships with her two friends...fingers are crossed that her history isn't as painful as her parents were.
Carrie Ann Ryan gives readers a story of Love, Loss, Personal Growth, and Healing.
LONGTIME CRUSH has a strong storyline and tons of heat; I would recommend this book to Adult readers that enjoy STEAMY New Adult Romances, Contemporary Romances, Friends to Lovers Romances, Single Dad Romances, Large Family Romances, or Romances that show life goes on after a loss.
