Wyn and Remy Gastineau were married for nineteen years before he decided he wanted out of their marriage. Here we are three years later, Wyn is still in love with Remy, Remy is living with a woman thirteen years younger than him, and their three children have bedrooms at both parents houses so they can sleep wherever they feel like. This sounds like a typical relationship after divorce because there is usually one still pinning away if the divorce was out of the blue, like this one was, and the one that initiated the divorce has moved on. Only it may seem that way but that is not the case when it comes to Wyn and Remy.
Kristen Ashley takes readers on a journey of redemption, acceptance, and forgiveness in this heartfelt story. Remy has to deal with his past in order to accept his future and Wyn needs to open her heart to forgiveness which isn't always easy to do.
This story has a loose connection to the River Rain Series where Wyn popped up while shopping in Chloe's store in Chasing Serenity. It was a brief encounter and has no impact on this standalone story.
I LOVED this book, if you enjoy Second Chance Romances or troubled marriage romances I highly recommend this book to you.
