3.5 Taking a Chance StarsYou know when you're waiting for a couple to get together for so long you have this buildup in your head, and then things don't live up to what you had anticipated...well, that's what I'm feeling right now 😕 I liked the story please don't get me wrong, I just wanted more from it.I fell for Cameron a while ago and fell even harder for him when he decided that it was time to see what can be between him and Maggie so he started to step away from the work he has been doing for the government. In this story we find out why Maggie dislikes him so much and I have to say I didn't agree with her reasoning. Maggie's late husband did some real damage to her when they were married and even more after he passed away and I can totally sympathies with her on several things but holding someone else's past against Cam just didn't have me taking her side on certain things.I loved the chemistry between Cam and Maggie and the way the O'Callaghans made him part of the family years ago when he became friends with Maggie's older brother definitely warmed my heart. I am thrilled that they finally get their HEA because they both deserve happiness and with the chemistry they shared it was just a matter of time before things worked in their favor.I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys the Siblings Best Friends Trope, Steamy Contemporary Romances, or Age Gap Romances.Happy Reading!!!
