Tristan is darkness personified while Hana has a true lightness to her, they are perfect together. I couldn’t get enough of their love story, I gobbled it up in one day. This is not only my favorite of the series to date but it has me highly anticipating Ms. Heard's upcoming St. Monarch Academy Series which is scheduled to have it's first book released in May.
Since this book runs adjacent to the other books in the series we find out what was happening when Hana ran off with Tristan, and I have to admit it was NOT what I was expecting. I had a feeling Tristan would be a bit of a bad boy but that is putting it mildly. The author has a note at the beginning of the book suggesting if you need a trigger warning this probably isn't the book for you....well, let me tell you she was not kidding! This book is not like any of the others in the series, which I enjoyed, this was the type of book that I LOVE getting lost into and that is exactly what happened. I kid you not I devoured this book in one day, heck if I didn't have to run a few important errands I probably wouldn't have put the book down.
"Hana's the temple I bow before. She's the only thing I'll ever worship."
Tristan seriously means every word of that statement, while he has a psychotic side to him it seems that Hana is the one that can tame the beast....or at least love the beast inside of him.
If you enjoy dark romances and haven't tried Michelle Heard's books yet you'll want to read this book and prepare for her upcoming series because I have a feeling we are going to be in for one heck of a ride!
