If you have been reading this series, as I have, you will know that there is some bad blood between Noah and Carla but we just didn't know what it was all about especially when you could pick up on the sexual tension between the two. Well, fear not because all of your questions will be answered in this story.

Carla has been in love with Noah for YEARS! I kid you not, their story stars out when Carla is 15 and Noah is 20 and she professes her love to him but being that their is such an age gap (her being jail bait and all) and she's his best friends little sister he shoots her down hoping that she'll move on. Now Carla is 18 and Noah is 23, they are both attending Trinity Academy and sharing the same suite, which means they cannot escape one another unless they were to hide in their room all the time. So one of two things will unavoidable happen, they will either kill one another or they will bury the hatchet and see where that leads them.

This story runs parallel to LOYAL HEIR so we get to see some of the things we only got glimpses of in that book, which I absolutely loved. This book was such a fun read for me. I really enjoyed watch Noah navigate his feelings for Carla, being a genius sometimes has it's disadvantages because he is always over thinking things.

Carla and Noah are like the opposite sides of the same coin, they fit perfectly together even though they are so different.

If you enjoy New Adult Romances that have some angst but a lot of steam this read is for you. No worries if you haven't started the series because this story can be read as a standalone as can each of the books in this series because they all focus on one couple, personally I think you will enjoy it more if you read the series in order...but that is my personal preference.
