This trilogy is absolutely amazing! There is so much going on here first we have the lie that Araneae has been fed most of her life which was covered by many secrets but now that things are starting to unfold will we find out what the truth really is? And once we do what will that mean for her? What about Sterling, how does he play into all of this? Is he really who he says he is and is he really looking to protect her from the ones out to get her?
Well, if you ask me Sterling is the real deal and I LOVE him, he is the anti-hero for all intents and purposes, you have the head of an organized crime family trying to protect a woman whom he hardly knows from someone who wants her dead. And believe me they have tried and he keeps coming to her rescue so yes this man totally gets my vote on being a keeper.
Secrets left us with one heck of a cliffhanger and while we do get some answers we still don't have the full story, I am sure everything will be answered in Promises and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Aleatha Romig has done it again with this trilogy, if you have read Consequences, and if you haven't you really should, you will love that Aleatha is back to her dark side again. Secrets, Lies, and Promises is taking us into the underbelly of Chicago and showing us how dirty things can really be from your everyday Joe to high powered politicians no one is above getting their hands dirty.
