Being granted a second chance at life and a first time at love was every man’s dream, but for Ace it came with a price.
Ace By all rights, he should be dead. Serving ten years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit had affected him in ways he couldn’t begin to understand. He’d rolled out of the slammer and into a revenge plot that almost got him killed. By the grace of God, when he’d hit rock bottom, one person reached out a helping hand.
A beautiful redhead with a penchant for mischief took a shine to him and then disappeared, leaving behind only her number scribbled recklessly on his arm. Assuming he can make out all the numbers, he just might have a chance at something amazing.
Barbara Finally divorcing her narcissistic husband was the best choice Barbara ever made. After living under his control for seven long years, she might have gone a little wild for a minute, what with jumping the hot biker and all. None of that mattered, though, because today was the day she got herself back on track.
After being given the opportunity to excavate a small cache of fossils in a remote area, Barbara is horrified to discover she’s inadvertently led a small team of her archeology students into danger. When they stumble on a secret dumping site of a vicious serial killer, Ace, the big, handsome biker takes charge. But she may have gotten herself and her students into more danger than even he can handle.
*NOTE* Although a part of the Blind Jacks MC series, ACE OF HEARTS can be read as a STANDALONE and features a new couple!

Ace of Hearts is the third book in the Blind Jacks MC series, while this book can be read as a standalone I will mention that the initial meeting of Ace and Barbara took place in book 2, Fighting Dirty, but it is discussed in this book on how they met....and what a first encounter it was!

Ace and Barbara's story is one of suspense, romance, acceptance and love. Barbara takes her students on a dig for fossils where they uncover a few bodies, and they are not of the prehistoric kind either, to say this was a bit unexpected for her students would be an understatement. Instead of finding some fossils and calling it a day they are now in danger because whomever left the bodies there surely wouldn't let them just walk away with that knowledge, so Ace and his Blind Jacks brothers step up to the plate and help Barbara and her students out.

My heart broke a few times while reading Ace's story, first off he is an identical twin and his brother was a bad apple to say the least. Ace spent ten years in prison for a crime committed by his brother and if that isn't bad enough wait until you read about the really horrible things his brother did. Ace holds onto his brothers bad doings as a reflection of how he failed him, Ace has a poor self image and the women at the clubhouse...yes the whores....don't like looking at him and turn away in disgust, it's no wonder the poor guy thinks he's hideous. But it takes a woman like Barbara to show how desirable and lovable he really is.

Now that I got one of the stories I was most looking forward to, I am hoping Darkness gets his HEA next. But I am also looking foreword to Cork, Peb, and hopefully even Jack getting their own HEA's. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good  suspenseful story with a troubled Hero and a down to earth heroine that sees past all the surface and gets to the truly good stuff.  Happy Reading!

“I don’t think you’re a bit sorry about missing my class, young man.”
A deep, masculine voice resonated over the phone line. “Oh but I am, Professor Reynolds.”
Lying on her back on the bed with her legs running up the wall, Barbara had never felt so much like a teenager in her entire life. Cradling her cell phone in the crook of her neck, she pulled up her camisole and ran her hands over her breasts. “I’m going to have to give you a big fat zero for class participation that day.”
“If I fail your class, my rich daddy will cut off my allowance.”
Damn, who would have thought her hot biker was good at role-playing? Staying in character, she responded primly, “You should have thought about that before you skipped my lecture, Jeremy.”
“I’m real sorry, professor. Maybe I could stay after class and make up my work.”
“Aren’t you all kinds of motivated to learn about ancient fossils?”
“It’s fascinating stuff. I was told that sometimes teachers give extra credit assignments.”
“We do, but they’re usually really boring.”
“You’re a real smart lady. I’ll bet you could think up something for a naughty boy like me to do for extra credit.”
Could she ever! A dozen truly filthy images swirled around in her head, bumping into each other. “I have several really good ideas.” “Tell me.” The big biker’s breath was getting rough and aroused.
“I could have you dust all the books in my home office, naked. That would make you think twice about taking your studies more seriously.”
“Let me make sure I understand what you’re telling me. If I were naked in your home and you could make me to do anything in the world, you’d want me to dust your books?”
“I have a list, and dusting is on it.”
Shifting the conversation, he asked, “So, what are you wearing?”
Looking down her body at the innocent white cotton panties and camisole, she decided to tell the hot biker a big fat lie. “I’m wearing a black skirt with a white button-up shirt. The problem is that I can’t quite get the buttons to stay closed over my breasts.”
“You need teacher’s glasses and a pencil behind your ear.”
“You like this game, don’t you?”
“Oh yeah, but I’d like it better if we played it together instead of talking about it on the phone like religiously preoccupied teenagers.”
“Did you ever have a crush on one of your teachers?”
“Hell yeah. They were the only normal people in my life. I liked every teacher I ever had. All of them were so different, pretty in their own ways, and kind to me. It was hard not to crush on them.”
“That’s really sweet. I can almost imagine that.”
“I’m glad you turned out to be a teacher and not a doctor. I associate doctors with getting patched up and pain. Teachers are hot, smart, and sexy in my mind.”
“Well, I can’t see students, so you’ve got three more weeks to go before you can engage in any hot teacher fantasies. I guess my books will have to remain dusty for a few more weeks.”
“How about instead of dusting I plunk your pretty little ass down on your desk and bury my face between your legs.”
