This was a great start to Sawyer Bennett's new series. I love that she is doing a series on Racecar Drivers, which is sadly lacking in sports romances.
Posey Evans is a Romance Author who wants to write a Sports Romance about Racecar Drivers. So she fakes being a Sports Journalist and is granted full access to one of the top drivers of the Crown Velocity Racing team. She has her work cut out for her since she is to shadow Lex Hamilton 24/7; the notorious Playboy has a knack for getting himself in trouble.
The chemistry between Posey and Lex can be felt when they first meet. It's like a living being between them, but they don't act on anything right away, and I loved that Lex didn't treat Posey like he did every other woman he shagged. Oh, did I mention that Lex is a Britt? I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook with narration by Kit Swann and Sean Masters. Kit brought Posey's southern charm out in everything, which was fabulous. Sean's British accent for Lex will have you swooning.
I highly recommend this one if you are looking for a different type of Sports Romance. It provides just enough information about the sport to understand but not enough to have your head spinning.
I recommend this book to readers who enjoy STEAMY Sports Romance, Secret Identity, He Falls First, Opposites Attract, or Strangers-to-lovers Romance.
