What if death doesn’t do you part? In your wedding vows, you vow to love one another until death do us part, but what if that wasn't the case? What if...what if you can come back to the one you love as someone else? This story takes that question to heart, leaving you with a sense of wonder and maybe even hopefulness.
Alex meets Penny when she is six, and they share this unique connection. As Penny grows older, their bond only intensifies. This is a SLOW BURN, and he waited 22 years for her. A lot happens during this time, and I advise checking the author's website for content warnings.
From the beginning, this story will pull your heartstrings, so I suggest having tissues nearby. It was beautifully written. At times, you will be shedding gut-wrenching tears and sometimes gentle sobs, but through it all, you will be holding out hope that Penny and Alex can get the HEA they both need and deserve.
