Oh, how the playboy has changed his spots.

If you have read ON THE DEFENSE, which I highly suggest you do BTW, it's currently FREE, you have met Damon Siska, the wide receiver for the Chicago Grizzlies, and Adeline, a middle school teacher whom Damon has an ONS with, in that book. Fast forward six months, and here we are.

Damon receives a text saying he's going to be a daddy. Well, what's a guy to do? He can only head to the school where she works and confront her since she isn't responding to him via the phone. I have to say I LOVE the school secretary who plays Mama Bear to Adeline.

Damon and Adeline have great chemistry, which they try to fight to co-parent their baby. Let's just say they have good intentions, but they eventually give in and light the sheets on fire. There is some angst in their story with his family, her friends, and his past, which is why he refuses to commit to a relationship. I liked the family drama, even the drama with her friends and co-workers, but I wasn't thrilled with his backstory it just didn't grab me and make me say Yep, I totally get it.

This is a SLOW BURN, second chance, reform playboy, surprise baby, forced proximity, ONS to more, Small Town Romance, so if you enjoy any of these tropes, I recommend this book to you.
