I can't say enough great things about Melissa Foster's books. Whenever I pick one up, I feel like I am reuniting with old friends and catching up on everything in their lives. In HIS WICKED WAYS, we have Blaine Wicked, the Bulldozer, and Reese Wilder, aka Buttercup. These two will steal your heart with how overprotective they are, BUT they each hold a bit of vulnerability. With Reese, it's how she cared for her sister Colette since she was born. She is like a bulldog with a bone if anyone interferes with her ability to do so. With Blaine, he cares for EVERYONE in his orbit. His siblings, his biker family, friends, EVERYONE....but who takes care of him?

Blaine and Reese met at a Bachelor Party where she is trying to earn some extra money, but she finds herself in a tight situation, and he helps her out of it. But before that even happens, Reese catches Blaine's eye, which turns out to be a good thing, a very good thing. I loved the chemistry between Reese and Blaine, but I loved even more how determined each of them was to protect the people they loved. We all feel a sense of responsibility to care for our loved ones, but how many people would raise their siblings when they are only a child themselves? Reese had to grow up way too young, and in doing so, she gave up a part of herself, but she never complained about it and did everything she could and then some to protect her sister from harm.
