I am enjoying the second generation of Bailey's. This is Brinley Kelly and Van Adler's story; if you have read Falling for my Brother's Best Friend, you'll remember Brin's parents, Savannah Bailey and Liam Kelly.

Brin is a very young widow after losing her husband only a year after marriage. So it's expected that her family is overprotective of her, but it's not only them. It's the entire town of Lake Starlight, and when she gets a new roommate, the whole town is on high alert to make sure she doesn't get hurt again.

Van is on mandatory leave from the Coast Guard and is looking to reenlist, but his Commanding Officer suggested, more like forced, him to take his accrued time off to go and have a life for a couple of months. He winds up in Lake Starlight as Brin's new roommate, and things get complicated and HOT from there.

Knowing Brin was a widow and was about to move on with her life going into the book, I was prepared for the sad moments, and I am thankful that things didn't get too sad where I would need the whole box of tissues, a couple was just fine. I loved the chemistry between Brin and Van, and watching them adjust to being roommates and navigate their feelings was so much fun.

I recommend this book to Adult Readers who enjoy STEAMY Contemporary Romances, New Adult Romances, Forced Proximity Romances, Roommate Romances, Large Family Romances, or Small Town Romances.
