OMG, That Ending...Shayla, what are you doing to me? I need part 2 NOW!
This book had everything I could have wanted from the reunion of Matt and Madison. You felt the chemistry between the two of them when they met in a previous book but we weren't given too much of what was happening between them at that time...we get it all now.
This story starts with Madison having to flee her home; I won't go into details on why that happened; just know it's a matter of life or death that drives her back to Matt, but once she's there, will he have open arms for her?
When Matt and Madison said goodbye after a fantastic weekend, it led to a lot of miscommunication and many missed opportunities. Now that Madison is back, maybe she and Matt can get on the same page and work things out...while he keeps her safe.
This story will have you at the edge of your seat with all of the suspense, but it will also have you grabbing a tall glass of ice water to cool yourself off because it's hot. What it won't do is give you the HEA you are looking for because that will happen in the second part of their story; there is just so much going on it needs to be done in two books, but the good thing is the second book will be out very soon so we don't have to wait long after that whopper of a cliffhanger.
I would recommend this book to readers that enjoy STEAMY Romantic Suspense Reads, Second Chance Romances, BDSM Romances, Bodyguard Romances, Forced Proximity Romances, Former Military Romances, or if you have read the Original Wicked Lovers Series, you may be interested in this book because a lot of the old gang make appearances in this book as well.
