A Co-Worker's Crush (The Rooftop Crew #6) by Piper Rayne ~ Book Review

Release Date: January 5

Three tattoo guns.

Five motorcycle tires.

Countless T-shirts.

That’s what I lost before I realized nothing good comes from dating my co-workers.

Usually, I don’t have much self-control. So, the fact that Frankie Grant is a hot, talented tattoo artist means it’s a damn miracle she hasn’t already been in my bed. But nothing can happen between us because Frankie comes with Jolie, her young daughter, and a crap load of baggage from her ex. And those are two things I never entertain.

Anyone who knows me—the screwed up foster kid from the wrong side of the tracks—knows I’m not the guy you take home to meet your parents, let alone your kid. But I also know what it’s like not to have parents, so things get complicated when Jolie asks me to be her daddy.

I might as well just slash my own tires now.

I’m finishing out 2020, the worst year, with a five star read... now that’s the way to end the year and the series!

I have been enjoying this series, as I do with all of Piper Rayne's books, this group of friends is a bit reminiscent of the TV show FRIENDS where you have a group of friends that are so close they are like family. This is Jax and Frankie's story....one that I have been waiting for, for a while. Jax and Frankie work together Dylan's tattoo parlor and they bicker like crazy but in all honesty it's a form of foreplay for the two of them because they have amazing chemistry.

Frankie is a single mother of an adorable little girl, Jolie, she's raising her with the help of her ex's mother but her ex isn't in the picture because he's an abusive addict and she'd like to keep that away from her daughter as much as she can.

Jax was raised in the foster care system and has always thought family life wasn't for him since he was bounced around from home to home. Even with seeing all of his friends fall for someone special and begin new lives together he just doesn't see that in the cards for himself.

The sexual chemistry between Frankie and Jax is enough to set your kindle on fire but when this sweet little girl writes Santa a letter telling him what she wants from Christmas that will just melt your heart.

There is no way for you not to enjoy this story, it's just one of those feel good holiday stories. Yes, there was a bit of angst but in all seriousness the good definitely out-shown anything else.

I highly recommend this book as well as this series to anyone that enjoys steamy contemporary romances. This book can be read as a standalone but I personally thing it would be more enjoyable if you have read prior books so you see all the buildup between Frankie and Jax before they finally get their book.

Happy Reading!!!

**I have voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book for my Blog, Nadine's Obsessed with Books, I have also purchased a copy**
