Mission: All In (Brantley Walker: Off the Books #1) by Nicole Edwards ~ Book Review

Brantley Walker has dedicated his life to fighting for his country. Having given eighteen years to the US Navy, the last ten as a SEAL, the mission was the only thing he knew, the only thing that mattered. He never even considered what life would look like after the mission was over.

Until he’s forced to.

After spending months recovering from career-ending injuries, Brantley finds himself back in his hometown of Coyote Ridge, Texas. Now a permanent resident once again, with the full support of his family and friends, he sets forth to start over, forced to figure out what to do with the rest of his life, which, as it turns out, is far easier said than done.

Then the unthinkable happens.

When his cousin Travis’s daughter goes missing, Brantley puts himself right back in the action, partnering up with Reese Tavoularis to find the little girl and bring her back home where she belongs.

Along the way, Brantley and Reese end up immersed in another mission. Only this one results in a journey that takes them in a direction neither of them expected to go.

WOW, what an introduction to the new series. SOOOOO much going on! I won't give any spoilers but it's plain to see that Travis' daughter Kate has gone missing from the synopsis so I'll tell you that when that happened even though I was prepared for it I was still a goner, I hate when anything happens to kids. So I was right there with the rest of the Walker family anxiously waiting for her return home.

Brantley Walker has returned home from his time in the Military, and is helping out his family when Kate is taken so he does what any good person with his skills does, he goes on a hunt! Oh I wish I could just gush about everything but I never do spoilers so you really have to grab a copy of this book for yourself to find out all the glorious details.

Reese is a former Military man himself, while Brantley was in the Navy, Reese was in the Air Force, so it makes sense that they work together to find Kate. What Reese didn't expect to happen was his attraction to Brantley, you see Reese is straight and never had any attraction to a man before Brantley. And now doesn't that just make this a whole bunch of fun!!! I really enjoy the push and pull between emotions when a person has to come to terms with their desires and the way Reese had to work through everything was really fun to watch.

I have read the Alluring Indulgence Series so I know Travis and his family but if you haven't no worries this is the beginning of a new series and you can start with the Walkers here but I guarantee once you get a taste of them you'll want more.

Happy Reading!!!
