With specific plans in mind, Master Bernard takes Laura’s transformation slowly: a physical exam, dental impressions, repeated piercings, even surgery to remove her floating ribs in order to better accommodate the strict corsetry he envisions. The experience is deeply arousing, though it’s troubling too. She’s dreamed of such extremes since puberty, but she has no idea how far her master plans to take their mutual fantasy, until it’s too late to change her mind. She’s fitted with a collar, ankle and wrist cuffs, and bands around her arms and legs. More restraints and odd devices follow as her subjugation becomes more intense and more invasive. She can barely even move! Soon she’s living in a locked cell far from her husband’s bed, where every physical need is taken care of by the master’s elaborate gadgetry, including her sexual release. As the weeks go by, she sees little of the man she married and far more of the governess he hired to attend to her physical needs. With so little outside stimulation and no access to the natural world her days and weeks just blend into one. And still, she has yet to learn the ultimate truth of her incarceration and her master’s plan for his future and hers.

J. G. Leathers is a new to me author so I am not sure if this is a typical book of his but WOW it was so out there, at times I felt it belonged under science fiction and not BDSM. This was bondage to the extreme like I have never seen it before. I read some dark and hardcore BDSM books but never with the Bondage to the level that this was taken to throughout the book.
I had a really hard time with this book its only 151 pages and it took me 9 days to finish it. 9 DAYS!!! I was constantly putting it down, I even picked up books longer than this and finished them in two days while still trying to complete this one. Needless to say I didn't find it enjoyable but that doesn't mean it wasn't well written because it was, it was just that I couldn't wrap my head around the stuff being done. YES I know this is fiction and whatnot but still. While I personally wouldn't recommend this to most people I know there are a few people I think may enjoy this type of beyond hardcore BDSM read. It's up to you to decide if its a book you think you would enjoy.
