OH MY WORD! This was oh-so-close to being a five star read for me the only thing holding me back was I felt the ending was rushed, it didn't follow the pace/flow of the book up to that point, I'd say it was the last few chapters that needed to really slow down just a bit for me. But honestly this was an amazing read nonetheless.Please read Throne of Lies before this book, it really sets things up nicely and it's just a little of 100 pages of information you will be glad you have going into this book. This book takes place ten years after Throne of Lies.
Jolie and Tripp both left New York after the events that had taken place in Throne of Lies but now they are both back in New York and you know that no matter how large a city is if you are destined to be with someone you will be with them, so in a city of millions they do have a chance encounter and things just continue from there.
Have you ever had an internal fight with yourself over something? Strictly in your head, the good vs. the bad? I have, and apparently Jolie and Tripp suffer from the brand of crazy as I do because there were several times we witness this internal struggle for each of them. I really enjoyed watching them go back and forth over what the right thing for them to do was.
This book was quite steamy but hey they had ten years to make up for and you know make-up sex is the best kind right?!?!
If you haven't read any of Tara Leigh's books before this is a great time to start, but remember begin with Throne of Lies before Legacy of Lies, I believe you will get the most out of this book if you do. Happy Reading!!!

Ah the life of the elite, beauty - wealth - just about everything you could ask for, it's something most wish they had but after reading this book I am not sure everyone would still want it. The New York International Debutante Ball is about to begin so lets pull up a chair and see how things unfold.
Jolie is a beautiful seventeen year old who is about to make her debut, this sounds so old fashioned it's hard to believe this tradition is still carried on but it is, and Tripp is to be her escort, he was chosen because their fathers are business partners and the Debutantes are not supposed to be dating their escorts, little did their dads know that the chemistry between the two of them would be so strong they couldn't help themselves.
This novella was a quick and steamy read but I really appreciated the way Jolie and Tripp became friends, not just lovers, there was definitely an innocence to their being together because of her virginity but also because of Tripp's tenderness towards her, wanting to protect her from anything that may hurt her.
There is a definite HOLY SHIT moment towards the end of this book that will leave you stunned so please be warned you will want to have book two handy in order to jump right in to see what happens next. Happy Reading!!!
