This was a fun and sexy read. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Lucas and Gillian (AKA Strawberry Fields), there is something very sexy about a secret relationship especially like the one that Lucas and Gillian had. There is NO CHEATING they have to keep their relationship a secret because Gillian's the daughter of the Coach that Lucas plays for which means she is off limits to all the players but with chemistry like theirs they did everything they could to be together. Stolen moments here and there, sexy phone calls after curfew, well you get the gist of it.
This is a Standalone but if you have read Sexy Jerk you may remember Lucas, he is Nick's younger brother. I will admit that I have not read Sexy Jerk yet, but it is on my Goodreads TBR shelf, and at no point did I feel lost this book can really be read a standalone although if you're like me you will want to know more about Nick and Tess because they were in this story several times.
Hot Stuff is the first book that I have read by Kim Karr which truly surprises me because I have several books of hers on my TBR shelf and I actually bought several on Amazon already but it seems RL gets in the way and I haven' had a chance to sit down and read any of them yet but I can assure you that is about to change. It seems that after this taste of Kim Karr's writing style, which I really enjoyed, I will be reading much more of her work in the months to come.
