Let me start by saying this was my first book by Shain Rose, and now that I have met the Hardy brothers I need to go back and read the books I missed in this series so I can catch up because they are delicious.
In this book, we have Dex and Keelani, who were high school sweethearts secretly until one fated night changed everything. Then Keelani is given a choice, which really isn't a choice at all, so she leaves everything and everyone behind, including Dex, to pursue her singing career.
Fast forward fifteen years and now we have Keelani doing a residency at Dex's Las Vegas Hotel. After being apart for that long, you would think they would have moved on but that is not the case.
I don't want to go into too much detail for fear of giving anything away but Dex isn't happy when he hears that Kee is engaged, at all, so he does what any guy would do...not, he demands that she take his ring instead and let him be her fake fiance. That's only the beginning of their time together and let me tell you, he gives Posessive Alpha a whole new meaning.
I enjoyed Dex and his over-the-top behavior, I had a love-hate relationship with Kee because there were times she just got on my nerves, overall they had great chemistry and I was rooting for them to get their HEA.
