This was a great start to the Trilogy!
I loved getting to know Gwen and Atticus in this first book of the KINGS OF THE BOARDROOM TRILOGY. Their meet cute was just that cute, I mean it just sparkled, but that is where the cuteness ended because this is NOT a RomCom.
Gwen's family business is in trouble and her father is willing to do anything to save it, which means he is looking to sell off the R&D division which is Gwen's baby. She's not happy about it but she doesn't have much say in the matter, but when her father insists that it stays in the family and the person that buys it marries his daughter, that's where things get interesting.
Atticus Price wants the R&D division of Becks Inc. and once he meets Gwen he wants her as well, so an arranged marriage isn't looking so bad even though he never saw himself getting married before the Beautiful Gwen walked into his life.
This story is fast paced with lots of twists and turns and one epic cliffhanger. If you think Gwen's dad sounds like a piece of work, you should meet Atticus' father...he's the real winner of that title. This story will have you reaching for a glass of iced water during the steamy scenes and wanting to throw your kindle during others. I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book ACQUISITION which comes out in May 2024.
